Our co-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
STEAM
Students have the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges, experiment, and collaborate with others in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM.) program. Our makerspace inspires curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning and projects.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities, including choir, guitar, violin and dance.
Choir
Our school choir unites students in celebrating the joy of singing and music. Through regular rehearsals, they enhance their vocal skills and build confidence, preparing to perform at school and community events.
PSSA Sport
Our students have the chance to represent our school, build their skills and enjoy friendly competition with others. These experiences help them develop teamwork, resilience and a love of being healthy and active.
Fit Futures
Students participate in Fit Futures program led by qualified coaches including fundamental movement skills, gymnastics and dance. These experiences encourage them to boost their confidence, and enjoy healthy, fun activities.
Student Voice and Leadership
Our school leadership team, along with the Student Representative Council (SRC), gives students a strong voice in our school community. These opportunities help students develop leadership skills and a sense of responsibility by sharing ideas, planning events, and supporting initiatives that enhance our school environment. The leadership team takes an active role in running assemblies and leading projects, while the SRC has led initiatives such as the beautification of bathrooms in response to student feedback.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Lunch Clubs
Students can participate in a range of lunchtime clubs offered throughout the year, tailored to their interests. Options include Lego, Art, Choir, Hip Hop, Dance, Drama, News Club and Chess. These clubs offer enjoyable and engaging chances for students to learn new skills, express their creativity and build connections with peers.
News Club
The Paddington News Club gives students a voice. Each week, students in Years 3-6 get together to write news stories, share school highlights and record podcasts about things they care about, such as their hobbies, school events and community interests.
Illuminate
Illuminate Paddo is a bi-annual event where students collaboratively blend ICT, literacy, music, drama, animation, and creative arts with science and geography themes to create unique animations. These animations, developed through hands-on exploration of animation techniques, are proudly showcased to the school community and the broader public during a special evening celebration.
